About Us
Blackburn Architects is a small, RIBA Chartered practice based in Rochester, Kent, working on bespoke residential projects across the South East and London.
We remain a deliberately small practice, enabling us to stay closely involved in every project, providing a consistent and considered service from initial ideas through to construction.
The practice was established in 2020 by Ben Blackburn and has developed through a series of bespoke residential projects, including extensions, alterations and new homes. Our work ranges from carefully reworking existing houses to delivering new buildings in more sensitive or constrained settings.
A personal approach
We are selective in the projects we take on, allowing us to give each one the time and attention it requires.
Our work is shaped by a careful understanding of how you want to live, combined with a focus on proportion, light and how spaces connect. We aim to create homes that feel calm and well resolved, while remaining realistic to build and appropriate to their setting.
Every project is led personally by Ben, ensuring a direct and attentive working relationship from start to finish.
